Fitness for the over 50s takes off at Courtneys 


Across all Courtneys leisure centres, we not only provide fitness classes that are suitable for all levels of ability but also specific classes for those aged 50 and above.

Classes such as Aqua, Chi Ball, Aerobics and Pilates are available to encourage the 50+ age group to increase movement, flexibility, strengthen muscles. They're also a great way to meet other people of the same age, and enjoy some like minded company.

Exercise for the over 50's has proven to make the heart stronger; increases energy levels, muscle strength and bone density and reduces the risk of falls. It can even reduce stress!

People who exercise regularly have more energy and are more alert than those who are sedentary. Exercise is extremely beneficial to the heart, muscles and immune system.

Classes are available on a pay as you go basis, with discounts for specific user groups, but if you're exercising more than twice a week, you may be able to save money by joining on one of our memberships.
